Valkenburgse Bokkenweken
Ieder jaar in de maand oktober staat Valkenburg aan de Geul in het teken van de Bok! De bok staat bekend om de historie en cultuur van de gemeente. Een historie waar Valkenburg trots op is.
Jaarlijks zijn er gedurende de hele maand oktober diverse activiteiten te beleven. Van een muzikale invulling tot familieactiviteiten… Kom het beleven met een goed glas bokbier in de ene hand en een lekker hapje in de andere. Maar pas op! De Bokkenrijders houden je in de gaten…
Op zondag 4 oktober openen de Valkenburgse Bokkenweken traditiegetrouw met de feestelijke Bokkenparade en de binnenkomst van het eerste vaatje bokbier.
Rond 14.00 uur trekt een paard en wagen door het centrum, beladen met het eerste bokbier van het seizoen — afkomstig van Brand Bier, Broewersjap d’n Haokeman, La Trappe en de Stadsbrouwerij Maastricht.
In Museum Valkenburg is de hele maand een tentoonstelling over de Bokkerijders. In de grotten zijn er op diverse dagen fakkeltochten.
Dit jaar vindt de Bokkemèrt op 11 oktober plaats tussen 10:00 en 17:00 uur.
Een van de grootste jaarmarkten in Limburg, met een brede keuze aan spullen en lekkernijen. Terwijl je langs de kraampjes struint, kun je genieten van lekkere streekproducten en Valkenburgse gezelligheid.
Limurgse Landmarkt Mesch
Every second weekend in September, the Limburgs Landmarkt takes place in Mesch. It is a very diverse market, featuring a range of traditional crafts and numerous market stalls.
Hopfeesten Reymerstok
This festival traditionally begins early in the morning with hop picking in Roger Wouters’ hop fields. Due to overwhelming interest, this hop-picking event has become an exclusive, private activity. (For Gulpener Vrund members only)
Starting in the afternoon, the festival grounds will be open with live music. You can enjoy local cuisine from the region, and of course, a glass of Gulpener beer is a must. Take a beer tasting class or participate in a unique workshop. There’s plenty to do. Admission to the event is free.

Gulpen gravel ride 2026
Small-scale, cozy, Limburg Burgundian and full attention to each participant: is the perfect description for the End of Summer Edition on September 27, 2026 of the Gulpense Gravel Tour. A beautiful day of gravel, beautiful routes through the South Limburg hills, with plenty of attention to good care and atmosphere. Start and finish is at our park. Get ready for this super sporty day that starts with coffee and Limburg pastries at the start, well-equipped care stations along the way, and a perfect ending with a refreshing Kwaremont and a tasty burger from the BBQ. Note: do not wait too long to register, there are only 250 places available!
Hubertus market Gulpen
This annual market also offers a wide range of children’s activities and promises a day full of fun and good cheer, with a Cittaslow square and many (around 150) market stalls once again this year! What can you expect? The St Hubert’s Mass begins at 10.00 am in St Peter’s Church in Gulpen. This also marks the start of the St Hubert’s Market. After the Mass, a blessing of the horses will take place at the main entrance to the town hall. The horses will be lined up there to be blessed by the dean. Once again this year, many market traders from all over the country will be in attendance! With hundreds of stalls, there’s all sorts of things for sale – from clothing to handy gadgets.
Kerststad Valkenburg
Where the Christmas markets are a real experience. Where you can walk endlessly in unique, beautiful winter landscapes. Where Christmas love goes through the stomach. Where thousands of Christmas lights twinkle and there is so much fun to be had. Settle down in Valkenburg for a Christmas in a magical atmosphere, both above and below ground!
During Christmas City Valkenburg, the fairytale Christmas parade winds its way through the charming city center. This year's first parade will take place on Saturday, November 14. The parade can be admired every Saturday until December 5. From December 6, the parade will also pass through the city center on Wednesdays.
Magical Maastricht Vrijthof
In the attractively lit stalls at the traditional Christmas market, you will be surrounded by an enchanting atmosphere of winter joy and festive cheer. You will find beautiful handicrafts, unique and made with love, ideal as gifts or to decorate your own home. The beautiful Christmas decorations range from classic ornaments to modern creations, so every visitor will find something to their liking.
The covered ice rink, measuring no less than 1,000 square meters, has been the main attraction at Magical Maastricht Vrijthof for many years. The smaller replica of the Sint-Servaasbrug, which you can walk over or skate under, will also be there again this year.
The heartwarming drinks and food, so typical of the winter month of December, are plentiful.
Amstel Gold Race
On Saturday, April 18, the Amstel Gold Race Tour Edition will provide a stage for no fewer than 15,000 international recreational cyclists to participate. On Sunday, April 19, the world's best men and women will compete for first place in Limburg's only cycling classic.
On Sunday, the Market Square in Maastricht will be the bustling backdrop for the start of the Amstel Gold Race. The women will kick things off at 9:55 a.m., followed by the men at 10:40 a.m. After the start, the peloton will wind its way through the beautiful hills of South Limburg, passing through municipalities such as Stein, Sittard-Geleen, Voerendaal, Gulpen-Wittem, and the cycling town of Valkenburg. The finish line is located between Berg en Terblijt and Vilt, where the women are expected to arrive around 2:00 p.m. and the men around 5:00 p.m.
Both the touring version and the pros will pass the entrance to our park.
